The Skoda Kodiaq's Sportline and L&K variants have received price hikes of Rs. 22,600 and Rs. 53,267, respectively, effective immediately.
The base Lounge variant remains unchanged at Rs. 39.99 lakh, keeping the entry point to the Kodiaq accessible.
Skoda Auto India has revised the prices of the Kodiaq flagship SUV, with the increases applicable with immediate effect. Prospective buyers will now have to spend up to Rs. 53,267 more, depending on the variant they choose.
The Kodiaq's base Lounge variant continues to be priced at Rs. 39.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the Sportline and L&K variants have seen upward revisions of Rs. 22,600 and Rs. 53,267, respectively. These variants now carry price tags of Rs. 43.99 lakh and Rs. 46.49 lakh, all prices ex-showroom.
The hike is not uniform across the range, which is worth noting. Buyers who were eyeing the Lounge as their preferred choice are in the clear, since it remains untouched. However, those drawn to the sportier Sportline or the fully loaded L&K will need to account for the additional outlay before signing on the dotted line.
Where the Kodiaq Sits in Skoda's Broader Strategy
The Kodiaq has long served as the crown jewel of Skoda's India portfolio, sitting at the top of the Czech brand's local lineup. It is a premium offering that targets buyers looking for European build quality, a refined interior, and the sort of road presence that commands attention.
A price revision of this nature, whilst not uncommon across the industry, does nudge the top-spec L&K variant closer to the Rs. 47 lakh mark, which is a segment where competition is far from absent.
A Packed Year Ahead for Skoda India
The Kodiaq price revision comes at a time when Skoda India is pushing ahead on multiple fronts. The Czech marque has already kicked off the year by introducing the Kushaq facelift, priced from Rs. 10.50 lakh, and two new variants in the Kylaq range were also introduced back in January.
The brand shows no sign of slowing down. Upcoming launches include the Slavia facelift, the Kodiaq RS, a Kylaq Sportline variant, and the new Superb, all planned for later this year. The Kodiaq RS, in particular, has already been showcased ahead of its India arrival and is expected to add some serious performance credentials to the flagship SUV family.
Should You Still Consider the Kodiaq
For buyers already settled on the Kodiaq, the price revision is an inconvenience rather than a deal-breaker. The Lounge variant, holding firm at Rs. 39.99 lakh, remains the most accessible route into the Kodiaq experience. Those looking at the L&K for its additional kit and premium positioning will simply need to factor in a slightly higher budgetary commitment.
Given the Kodiaq's reputation for strong build quality and a well-rounded feature set, it continues to make a compelling case in its segment.
