The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift has started arriving at dealerships across India, with prices beginning at Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
The refreshed mid-size sedan introduces several segment-first features alongside Level 2 ADAS, a 5-star Global NCAP rating and a 160 PS turbo-petrol engine.
The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift is now making its way to Hyundai dealerships across India. Following its official launch earlier this month on March 09, 2026, units of the refreshed mid-size sedan have begun arriving at showrooms, giving buyers their first real opportunity to see it in the metal.
Priced from Rs 10.98 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated Verna steps into its latest chapter with some genuinely meaningful upgrades, squaring up to its two primary rivals, the Skoda Slavia and the Volkswagen Virtus, with renewed confidence.
A Fresh Face That Commands Attention on the Road
In a market where SUVs dominate forecourts and conversations alike, the Verna's fastback silhouette still turns heads for the right reasons. The facelift sharpens the sedan's overall appearance under Hyundai's 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language.
Up front, a refined gloss black grille is flanked by the brand's signature Horizon LED positioning lamp, which stretches across the full width of the car. LED projector headlamps and a redesigned bumper complete the front end, lending it a more composed and contemporary look.
Rear Styling and New Colour Choices That Appeal to a Younger Crowd
At the rear, a sporty bumper, a prominent spoiler and a revised alloy wheel design reinforce the sedan's athletic stance.
New colour options, including Titan Grey Matte and Classy Blue, are well-suited to buyers who appreciate a bit of boldness in their choice of car. Hyundai has also fitted rear disc brakes, adding substance to the style.
A Cabin That Prioritises Connectivity and Comfort
Step inside and the interior immediately signals that this is a car designed for the digitally inclined. The centrepiece is a curved dual-screen layout comprising two integrated 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and driver instrumentation.
The system supports over 70 Bluelink connected car features and accepts more than 350 voice commands, making it one of the most connected setups in the segment.
Segment-First Features That Genuinely Make a Difference
The Verna earns a notable distinction with several segment-first additions. A powered driver seat with a memory function, a walk-in device for the co-passenger, a rear window sunshade and a built-in dashcam all feature in the package.
An 8-speaker Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging and a sunroof round out an impressively well-equipped interior. The 528-litre boot ensures there is no compromise on practicality either.
Performance and Safety That Back Up the Bold Claims
Under the bonnet, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 160 PS and 253 Nm of torque, channelled through a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission. For context, the Volkswagen Virtus produces 148 bhp and 250 Nm, giving the Verna a meaningful edge on paper.
Safety is equally well-addressed. The Verna carries a 5-star Global NCAP crash safety rating and is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, up to seven airbags, a 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitoring. The Virtus does not offer Level 2 ADAS at all, which further strengthens Hyundai's standing in this regard.
With units now arriving at showrooms and deliveries set to follow, the 2026 Verna facelift makes a compelling case for itself as a feature-rich, well-rounded and genuinely desirable choice in a segment that demands exactly that.
