The launched Hyundai Ioniq 5 is over three years old in India, and this eSUV is now about to receive a new mid-life facelift. This includes a lot of cosmetic and functional changes, with the most significant of those being the 84 kWh battery pack for the top-spec version.
A new alloy design is shown in this spy picture, again showing the Ioniq with a facelift. This model is already out globally, so some specs and features may well expect to make their way to India too.
The Ioniq 5 is longer by 20mm, now measuring 4,655mm as opposed to 4,635mm. Other specifications are unchanged. However, the international version has an NACS port through which a Tesla Supercharger (USA) is accessed, the first ever for a non-American manufacturer.
Furthermore, it is available in two variants – 63 kWh and 84 kWh. Fast charge times are 20 minutes (10 to 80 percent) with AC charging via a 250kW DC charger for both battery packs. The eSUV features four drive modes – Eco, Normal, Sports, and Snow.
