New 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC Launched For A Starting Price Of Rs. 73.5 Lakh
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC has been launched in two variants - 300 4Matic and 220d 4Matic. The former will cost Rs. 73.5 lakhs and the latter will cost Rs. 74.5 lakhs, both prices are ex-showroom. The SUV is available in five colour options - Polar White, Obsidian Black, Nautic Blue, Selenite Grey, and Mojave Silver. It now gets a larger grille, sharp LED headlamp unit, chrome accents on the body, integrated roof spoiler, and twin exhaust pipes at the rear.
Talking about the Mercedes-Benz GLC dimensions, it is 4,716 mm long, 2,075 mm wide, 1,640 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,888 mm. It wears 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The SUV uses a 2-0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo petrol engine that produces 254 bhp at 5,800 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm in between 2,000-3,000 rpm. There is a 2.0-litre, in-line, four-cylinder, diesel engine that makes 194 bhp of power at 3,800 rpm and a peak torque of 440 Nm from 1,800-2,800 rom. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 14.72 kmpl for the petrol unit and 19.47 for the diesel engine. Both engines get a mild hybrid unit that bumps the power by 22 bhp and 200 Nm for a brief period. The engines come coupled with a 9G Tronic automatic transmission and all-wheel drive feature as standard.
Mercedes-Benz GLC feature list includes an all-new MBUX system with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment unit, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting with 64 colours, multi-zone climate control, a Burmester sound system, a 360-degree camera, a LED headlights, and wireless charging pad among others.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC will lock horns with the likes of the BMW X3, Audi Q3, and Volvo XC40 to name a few.
