Plans and schedule for VinFast Limo Green, the company's third electric vehicle, to be introduced in India.
Key specs, features, and the strategy behind VinFast’s move, targeting families and fleet operators via a large 7-seater electric MPV.
India's entry grows beyond SUVs
The Vietnamese electric-vehicle producer VinFast, which has already brought its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs to India, is now planning to unveil its third EV in the country: the Limo Green. The business claims that rather than being a stand-alone luxury range, this will be its first seven-seater MPV offering in India, positioned alongside VF6 and VF7.
Local testing of Limo Green has already begun, with prototype units spotted on Indian roadways. The design has also been formally copyrighted in India, indicating VinFast’s plan to make the model available in the near future.
Launch schedule and overall plan
The Limo Green is expected to make its debut in February 2026, according to VinFast's official confirmation. This introduction is a component of a larger plan by VinFast, which plans to release a new electric car for India approximately every six months after Limo Green.
VinFast intends to deploy Limo Green for its ride-hailing and fleet service operations under its mobility branch in addition to selling passenger EVs. With just one car, this may meet the needs of both family use and business transportation.
What Limo Green offers in terms of performance, features, and size
Limo Green is a three-row, seven-seater MPV that prioritizes comfort and room. With a broad 2,840 mm wheelbase and a length of about 4.74 mm, it promises spacious interiors and enough cabin space for families or group travel.
On the inside, the MPV is likely to come equipped with modern comforts such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, flexible seating layout, climate control, digital instruments, and convenience features like keyless entry and push-button start.
Powering the Limo Green is a 60.1 kWh battery pack driving a front-mounted motor providing roughly 201 bhp (≈ 150 kW) and 280 Nm of torque.
According to Vietnam/NEDC standards, VinFast promises a driving range of about 450 km per full charge. Fast-charging capabilities support charging the battery from 10% to 70% in around 30 minutes, a feature that could make it feasible for longer excursions or fleet use.
Who it’s aimed at and why it matters
With three rows of seats and a roomy cabin, Limo Green is clearly geared toward families seeking an EV alternative to standard MPVs or SUVs. However, VinFast appears to be concentrating more on fleet purchasers, taxi drivers, ride-hailing services, and business transportation, where its EVs can provide cheaper operating expenses and simpler maintenance, in addition to private buyers.
Given India’s slowly but surely expanding market for electric vehicles, especially in classes like SUVs and MPVs, delivering a 7-seater EV might give VinFast a solid advantage. The mix of local manufacturing, competitive pricing possibilities, and developing EV infrastructure might help the brand create a meaningful place.
