Mahindra & Mahindra's most recent sales figures from November 2025, particularly its SUV performance.
How different segments, SUVs, commercial vehicles (CVs), three-wheelers, and exports fared, and what the overall trend means for the company.
In November 2025, Mahindra’s SUV sales in the domestic market reached 56,336 units, up from 46,222 units in November 2024, a growth of nearly 22% year-on-year. This indicates a volume increase of over 10,000 units compared with the same month previous year.
However, compared with the previous month (October 2025), there was a decline: October had experienced 71,624 SUV sales, meaning November saw a month-on-month dip of nearly 21%.
For the period from April to November 2025 (year-to-date), SUV sales amounted to 425,530 units, showing a rise of nearly 18% compared to the same period last year.
Wide-ranging Growth
Mahindra sold 92,670 vehicles in November 2025 across all vehicle categories, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, and exports. That is a 19% year-on-year gain.
Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) under two tons sold 3,255 units in the commercial vehicle (CV) class, a little increase over the previous year. Meanwhile, the 2–3.5 tonne LCVs posted 21,588 units, a healthy 20% year-on-year rise.
With 8,568 units sold in November 2025, up 7% from November 2024, the three-wheeler segment, which includes electric three-wheelers, also showed an increase.
The company sent 2,923 units overseas in November, increasing 5% from the same month the previous year. Exports also made a beneficial contribution. On a year-to-date basis (April–November), exports grew dramatically by 30% to 27,241 units.
What's Driving the Momentum
The excellent performance appears to be underpinned by ongoing demand for Mahindra’s SUVs, a market where the brand continues to enjoy appeal among Indian buyers.
Additionally, Mahindra recently increased its product line-up in the electric vehicle area, honoring the one-year anniversary of its “Electric Origin SUVs” and unveiling new models such as the seven-seater electric SUV XEV 9S and the special-edition electric SUV BE 6 Formula E Edition.
These latest releases, together with ongoing demand in CVs and three-wheelers, imply that Mahindra is benefiting from a well-diversified portfolio and increased consumer interest across categories.
What This Signifies for Mahindra
The November statistics confirm Mahindra's dominant position in the SUV market in India. Along with increases in commercial vehicles, three-wheelers, and exports, SUV and total vehicle sales have been steadily increasing, indicating strong domestic and global demand.
Considering the latest electric SUV launches, Mahindra seems well-positioned to ride the longer-term move towards electric mobility, while continuing to use its legacy strength in traditional SUVs and utility vehicles.
