Mahindra February 2026 Sales: 60,018 SUVs, a Tractor Boom, and CVs Holding Steady

Mahindra had a February to remember, 60,018 SUVs off the forecourt, a jaw-dropping 35% surge in tractor sales, and three-wheelers up 44%. Across cars, commercial vehicles, and open fields, the numbers tell a story of a brand that knows exactly what it's doing and is doing it rather well right now.

  • How Mahindra performed across SUVs, commercial vehicles, and tractors in February 2026, and what the figures actually mean beyond the press release spin.

  • Why broad-based growth across every segment of the business makes this one of Mahindra's more quietly impressive months in recent memory.

Right, let's get into it. Mahindra dropped its February 2026 sales figures, and there's a fair bit to unpack. Short month, yes, but the brand made it count. SUVs up, three-wheelers flying, and tractors absolutely romping. Here's what happened.

Passenger Vehicles: Nearly 10,000 More SUVs Than This Time Last Year

Mahindra shifted 60,018 SUVs in the domestic market during February 2026. That's a 19% increase over the 50,420 units it managed in February 2025, per the brand's own press release. Nearly 9,600 extra SUVs in a single month, that's not a blip, that's a trend.

Worth noting: on a month-on-month basis, volumes were down slightly from January's 63,510 units, but January is typically a strong month post-festive hangover. Reading too much into that dip would be a mistake. Year-to-date, Mahindra has now crossed 6,00,000 domestic PV sales in FY26, up 19% on the same stretch last year. The XUV 7XO has landed well with buyers, and its order book is reportedly in good shape.

Commercial Vehicles: One Segment Stole the Show

The CV picture was mixed, but in a reasonably healthy way. The real headline? Three-wheelers, up 44% year-on-year. That's a big jump by any measure, and it includes electric three-wheelers, which are clearly finding more takers each month.

The heavier LCV bracket (2T–3.5T) also did well, up 12% to 21,416 units. Logistics demand, small businesses, last-mile delivery, all of it feeds through. The light end (under 2T) slipped 4%, but it's not dramatic on a year-to-date basis. Exports held up well too, climbing 11% to 3,384 units for the month.

LCV 2T – 3.5T21,41612%
3-Wheelers (incl. Electric)9,19044%
Total CV Exports3,38411%

Add It All Up: 97,177 Vehicles, +18% Overall

Put all the segments together, and Mahindra's total vehicle sales for February 2026 come to 97,177 units, up 18% year-on-year. That covers SUVs, LCVs, three-wheelers, and exports. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO of the Automotive Division, described it as reflecting strong customer demand across the portfolio. Hard to disagree.

What Comes Next

Mahindra has a decent hand to play over the next few months. The Scorpio N facelift is on the way, the XEV 9e is in the mix, and the XUV 7XO is still building momentum. On the commercial side, the electric three-wheeler push looks increasingly serious rather than experimental. And the farm equipment business, if the rural economy stays cooperative, has every reason to keep ticking along nicely.
