Tata Motors has launched the updated Tiago EV in India, bringing a fresh design, feature-rich cabin, and enhanced safety package to one of the country's most affordable electric cars. The facelifted model continues to target first-time EV buyers while offering more premium features than before.
What's new in the 2026 Tata Tiago EV?
The updated Tiago EV receives several styling upgrades that give it a more modern appearance. Key exterior changes include redesigned front and rear bumpers, a refreshed blanked-off grille, new LED headlamps, revised LED taillights, fresh wheel designs and updated Tiago EV badging.
Inside, Tata has introduced a completely redesigned dashboard along with a new two-spoke steering wheel, updated upholstery, a rotary gear selector, rear AC vents, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. These updates help the Tiago EV feel significantly more premium than before.
Battery, Performance and Range
The Tiago EV continues to be offered with two battery pack options: Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR), both using LFP battery technology.
- Medium Range (MR): Powered by a 19.2kWh battery paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, it produces 60bhp and 110Nm of torque. It registers a claimed MIDC range of 226km on a single charge.
- Long Range (LR): Stepping up to the 24kWh unit elevates power figures to 74bhp and 114Nm of torque, pushing the claimed single-charge threshold to 285km.
