Ferrari Amalfi Spider India Launch Set for July 17

Ferrari is set to introduce the Amalfi Spider, the convertible sibling of the entry-level Amalfi coupe, in India on July 17. The soft-top model retains the same twin-turbo V8 powertrain and performance figures as the hard-top version, with pricing expected to be announced closer to the launch date.

  • Convertible version of the Amalfi coupe arrives in India on July 17, 2026

  • Retains the coupe's 640hp twin-turbo V8 and 3.3 second 0-100kph time despite extra weight

Ferrari is gearing up to launch the Amalfi Spider in India on July 17. Essentially an open-top rendition of the brand's entry-level Amalfi coupe, the Spider brings a powered soft-top roof to the mix while leaving virtually everything else untouched, right down to the twin-turbo V8 sitting up front.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider design and roof mechanism

Soft-top folds away in 13.5 seconds even while on the move

The biggest talking point on the Spider is naturally its roof. Ferrari has fitted a fabric hood that can be raised or lowered electronically in 13.5 seconds, and this can be done at speeds of up to 60kph, meaning owners need not come to a complete halt to enjoy open-air motoring. The Italian manufacturer states that the fabric construction delivers excellent thermal and acoustic insulation despite doing away with a hard roof.

Beyond the roof, the design carries over from the standard Amalfi. Slim LED headlamps linked by a black band sit up front, flanked by a bumper with air splitters and generous intakes for cooling.

Round the back, slender dual LED tail lamps pair with a sculpted diffuser and dual exhaust outlets on either side. An active rear spoiler automatically toggles between Low Drag, Medium Downforce and High Downforce settings based on how the car is accelerating, whether lengthways or sideways.

On the move, the Spider rolls on 245/35 R20 tyres up front and 285/35 R20 units at the rear, complemented by flush door handles and a black side skirt for a cleaner profile. Boot space stands at 255 litres with the roof up, dropping to 172 litres once the fabric top is stowed away.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider cabin and features

Interior mirrors the hard-top Amalfi almost entirely

Step inside and the layout is identical to the coupe. A 2+2 seating configuration comes wrapped in leather, while the dashboard houses a three-spoke steering wheel with physical switchgear, a 15.6-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment, and an 8.8-inch display dedicated to the front passenger.

The international-spec car also comes loaded with powered front seats, automatic climate control and wireless phone charging. Safety kit includes a Level-2 driver assistance suite, a 360-degree camera setup and a brake-by-wire system, which Ferrari says sharpens braking response, shortens pedal travel and improves overall modulation.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider engine and performance

Same 3.9-litre V8 delivers unchanged performance despite added weight

Powering the Spider is the familiar 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, producing 640hp and 760Nm, identical to the hard-top Amalfi. Drive goes through an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox to the rear wheels, and Ferrari claims a 0-100kph time of 3.3 seconds, matching the coupe stride for stride.

That said, the Spider does carry 86kg of extra mass, and this shows up higher in the speed range, where it takes 0.4 seconds longer than the coupe to hit 200kph.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider expected India pricing

The standard Ferrari Amalfi carries a price tag of Rs 5.59 crore in India. However, with the India-EU free trade agreement on the horizon, Ferrari is currently accepting orders at discounted rates in anticipation of lower duties, and the Amalfi Spider is expected to be priced at around Rs 4.5 crore when it goes on sale.
