The new ES 350h brings a locally assembled hybrid powertrain to the Lexus line-up in India
Bookings are now open, with prices running from Rs 66.10 lakh to Rs 71.80 lakh
Lexus has pulled the wraps off the new ES 350h in India, and it slots in as the more affordable route into the brand's flagship sedan line-up. Prices for the strong-hybrid model range from Rs 66.10 lakh to Rs 71.80 lakh, ex-showroom. It joins the all-electric ES 500e that Lexus launched back in March this year.
Bookings for the new hybrid opened on July 15, 2026. This eighth-generation ES sits on the TNGA GA-K platform and brings a thorough redesign both inside and out.
There are two trims on offer, Exquisite and Luxury, and both are locally assembled, which helps keep the pricing more accessible than one might expect from a Lexus. To put the numbers in perspective, even the range-topping Luxury trim comes in at a full Rs 18.19 lakh less than the ES 500e.
Compared with the outgoing ES 350h, which was priced between Rs 64 lakh and Rs 69.70 lakh, the new generation costs roughly Rs 2.10 lakh more.
Powertrain And Performance Figures
Under the bonnet sits a 2.5-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine working alongside an electric motor in a strong-hybrid setup, sent to the wheels through an e-CVT gearbox.
The petrol engine alone makes 186hp and 235Nm, while the motor can produce 201hp and 270Nm on its own. Combined, the system delivers 247hp, and Lexus quotes a 0-100kph time of 7.7 seconds for the sedan.
Exterior Styling Details
The new ES follows what Lexus calls its Provocative Simplicity design language, a philosophy first previewed on the brand's LF-ZC concept. The nose does away with the familiar Spindle Grille in favour of a sealed-off front end, flanked by twin L-shaped daytime running lights and blacked-out vertical elements housing the headlamps.
Down the side, a rising beltline and a distinctive Z-shaped trim strip run across the doors, while the rear picks up matching L-shaped tail lamps joined by a connected light bar spelling out the Lexus name.
Notably, there is no visual distinction between the hybrid and the electric versions of the car. Dimensionally, the new ES has grown by 170mm in length, 55mm in width and 130mm in height over its predecessor, and the wheelbase is up by 80mm too.
Interior And Equipment Highlights
Lexus describes the cabin philosophy as Clean Tech x Elegance, aimed at making the interior feel more spacious and uncluttered. A 14-inch floating touchscreen dominates the dashboard, and physical switchgear has largely been swapped for proximity-sensing controls that light up when a hand approaches, found both below the screen and on the steering wheel.
Illuminated speaker grilles and 3D-printed door panels add a contemporary touch, while a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster sits within a hooded binnacle ahead of the driver.
Standard equipment includes a Mark Levinson audio system, wireless smartphone charging pads, and wireless smartphone mirroring. Comfort features extend to heated and ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror and ambient lighting with multiple colour options.
On the safety front, the ES 350h comes with 10 airbags, radar-guided adaptive cruise control, lane-change assist, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive high beams, driver drowsiness alerts, a 360-degree camera system and electronic stability control, among other driver aids.
The Lexus ES has traditionally squared up against luxury sedans running conventional petrol and diesel engines, and its hybrid and electric powertrain options continue to set it apart from that pack in the segment.
