Summers Are Here Heres How To Keep Your Cars Cool In The Hot Weather

Summers are here! Here’s how to keep your cars cool in the hot weather

Summer has finally arrived, bringing along scorching temperatures exceeding 35 to 40 degrees Celsius nationwide. The intense heat makes it tough to go outside during the peak hours of the day. In conditions, many people rely on their cars, for transportation. However, if your car's air conditioning isn't cooling effectively it can quickly make your journey uncomfortable and sweaty.

To prevent dealing with a cooling AC system there are measures you can implement. These include parking in spots using sunshades or heat deflectors to shield your car's interior, from the sun and ensuring maintenance and servicing of the AC unit and compressor.

Here are some ways you can keep your cars cool in summer heat

  1. Use the remote cooling features

In the summer it's an idea to open the windows to let out air and ventilate the cabin by opening and closing doors checking for and fixing refrigerant leaks promptly starting the AC at a moderate level and making use of any remote cooling features, in your car to stay comfy.

  1. Cool down your wheels

Aside from the AC system taking care of your vehicle as a whole during the months is crucial. Regular maintenance is key to keeping everything running smoothly, especially when it comes to tires, fluids, and other parts that can be affected by the heat. By being proactive, about looking after your car you can have a hassle-free drive when it's scorching outside.

  1. Clever Sunshade Usage

If you have a windshield sunshade, try to park in a spot facing the sun in an open-air parking lot during the afternoon. When you open the sunshade, it will effectively shield your car's interior from direct sunlight, keeping it cooler.

  1. Keeping Leather Seats Cool

Dark-colored leather seats can become extremely hot in the sun. To prevent this, consider purchasing affordable cooling cushions. These cushions not only help in keeping the seats cool but also reduce driver fatigue during long drives.

  1. Utilizing Bedsheets for Shade

If your car is parked in the sun for extended periods, the interior can heat up quickly. A light-colored cotton bedsheet can provide relief in this situation. Simply drape the sheet over the seats to create shade and maintain a lower temperature inside the car.

  1. Harnessing Solar Power with Fans

Solar-powered fans are a practical solution for hot weather. Charge these fans using solar energy and enjoy a refreshing breeze while driving, effectively cooling you down.
