Design Inspired by the Kushaq
The Skoda Kylaq takes design cues from its sibling, the Kushaq, featuring a bold front fascia with split-LED headlights and Skoda's signature butterfly grille. The LED DRLs are uniquely positioned above the headlamps, lending the SUV a distinct identity. Enhancing its rugged look are the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, black body cladding, and roof rails.
At the rear, the Kylaq showcases wraparound LED tail lights with an inverted L-shaped design, a blacked-out bumper, and a silver skid plate that completes its sporty and dynamic aesthetic.
Feature-Rich Cabin
Inside, the Kylaq continues the premium feel with a dual-tone black and grey cabin theme. Black leatherette seat upholstery and a leatherette-wrapped two-spoke steering wheel further elevate its luxury quotient. Key features include:
Infotainment & Convenience: 10.1-inch touchscreen, 8-inch fully digital driver’s display, wireless phone charger, and single-pane sunroof.
Comfort: 6-way powered, ventilated front seats.
Safety: 6 airbags (standard), electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), multi-collision braking, and rearview camera.
Engine Specifications
The Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque. It is paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic, offering a balanced mix of performance and fuel efficiency.
Rivals
The Skoda Kylaq competes with segment stalwarts like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. Its premium features and competitive pricing also position it as a strong alternative to sub-4m crossovers like the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Taisor.
With its premium design, feature-loaded cabin, and robust safety package, the Skoda Kylaq is set to carve a niche for itself in the bustling Indian subcompact SUV market.
