The Royal Enfield Classic 650 has been spotted testing for the first time in the country and it has quite a lot in common with the Classic 350. As the shots reveal, the bike houses the same 648 cc, parallel twin, air/oil-cooled engine mated to a six-speed gearbox that is likely to churn around 46 bhp of power at 7,250 rpm and about 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,550 rpm.
The bike is likely to come with disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS, a round semi-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth tethering, and a turn-by-turn navigation feature. According to the pictures, the suspension duties are done by conventional telescopic forks up front and a dual-shock absorber unit at the rear.
Other mentions include a round headlamp, and taillamp unit, split seat setup, circular indicators, wire-spoke wheels, extended mudguards and teardrop-style fuel tank to name a few. The company’s 650 cc lineup currently includes the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, and Super Meteor 650. The company is working on the Shotgun 650 as well.
