Mahindra Unveils Bold Editions of Bolero & Bolero Neo with Dark Chrome Style

Mahindra & Mahindra announced the Bold Editions of its popular Bolero and Bolero Neo SUVs presented in India. The bold edition comes with more dark chrome styling elements as well as cosmetic changes to freshen the model lineup. The engine and transmission configurations remain the same as standard variants.

Mahindra & Mahindra has expanded its SUV lineup with the launch of the Bolero Bold Edition and Bolero Neo Bold Edition. The new special-edition variants entail bold cosmetic upgrades to the existing top-end variants, and the accompanying aesthetic upgrades are aimed at presenting a rugged and premium look.

Pricing for the bold editions is yet to be confirmed, however, the price for the standard Bolero range is between Rs. 9.81 lakh to Rs. 10.93 lakh, while the Bolero Neo's price range spans Rs. 9.97 lakh to Rs. 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom).

DIFFERENCES IN EXTERIOR: DARK CHROME STYLING

The Bolero Neo Bold Edition gets a dark chrome theme on the front grille and fog lamp surrounds, as well as the spare wheel cover, which adds more aggression and a premium feel.

The SUV also gets black roof rails along with a unique ‘Bold Edition’ badge on the rear fender. While the Bolero Bold Edition also gets a sporty black front bumper, it has a dark chrome-treated grille and subtle dark chrome accents on the rear AC vents, which give it a fresher touch.

DIFFERENCES IN INTERIOR: SPORTIER WITH MORE UTILITY

Inside, the Bolero Neo Bold Edition has black seat covers and now has a rearview camera, improving safety. The Bolero Bold Edition is also black themed in its cabin, continuing the rugged appeal that Bolero fans have always appreciated.

DIFFERENCES IN ENGINE AND MECHANICALS: NONE

In terms of engines or performance, both Bold Editions are unchanged. The Bolero Neo Bold Edition features the tried-and-tested 1.5L diesel engine with 74bhp and a 5-speed manual box. The Bolero Bold Edition has the more powerful 98bhp 1.5L diesel engine, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

What's in Store for Mahindra?

In the upcoming years, Mahindra plans to release the next-gen Bolero in 2025, based on its New Flexible Architecture (NFA). It is also preparing for the introduction of the Bolero EV next year. Mahindra will start with the XUV3XO EV followed by an electric version of the XUV700, called the XEV 7e, which will compete against the Tata Safari EV and the Hyundai Creta Electric.

The Bold Editions are a clear indication that Mahindra is refreshing its legacy SUVs and gearing up for a more electric and modern future.
