Citroen India has launched the eagerly awaited CNG version of its C3 hatchback to take on the Tata Punch iCNG. Like the Punch iCNG, the C3 CNG will come with a factory-fitted CNG kit supplied from Lovato Gas India. CNG can be retrofitted on all four variants of the C3—Live, Feel, Feel (O) and Shine—from any Citroen dealer across India.
The CNG variants of the C3 cost about Rs 93,000 more than their petrol versions, priced from Rs 7.16 lakh for the base Live variant to Rs 9.09 lakh for the top-end Shine (all prices ex-showroom). This means the Citroen C3 CNG variants are on the cheaper side as far as the hatchback CNG segment goes.
