Mahindra has revealed the Scorpio N based pickup concept vehicle
Mahindra has unveiled the Scorpio N-based pickup concept - Global Pik Up in Cape Town, South Africa. The Global Pik Up takes its styling cues from the Scorpio N, there are a lot of similarities in components like the bonnet, front doors, headlamps, and fenders.
The front bumper is huge and it gets a bash plate with tow hooks at the lower area. The grille on the front section wears the Mahindra logo at the center and gets an aggressive design. The concept vehicle gets a roof rack with an LED strip and a snorkel as well for better water wading.
The profile carries the same rugged look with body cladding running across the length of the car. The wheel arches have plenty of space which adds to the butch stance of the vehicle. There are red accents across the body of the vehicle which adds to the aggressive stance of the vehicle.
The tailgate gets “Mahindra” lettering and gets a pixel-styled tail lamp setup which was seen in the teasers. The rear bumper gets two tow hooks and the center section has been designed to ease ingress and egress.
The company says that the Global Pik Up will use a Gen-II all aluminium mHawk diesel powertrain that will be mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. We can expect 4WD and shift-on-fly features with drive modes like Normal, Grass-Gravel-Snow, Mud-Rut and Sand.
Other features could include level-2 ADAS suite, 5G connectivity, semi-automatic parking, sunroof and trailer sway mitigation to name a few.
