Introducing the Carens Clavis HTX+, which is setting a new standard in the premium MPV space as it is coming to dealerships across India. A more affordable alternative to the Hyundai Alcazar, the Clavis HTX+ gives families a list of upmarket features, advanced technology, and versatility with seating arrangements, making it an attractive offering for the modern family on-the-go.
The price varies from Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant HTE Petrol MT to Rs 21.5 lakh for the top-end HTX+ Turbo Petrol DCT. But still has the accessibility that the top-end features have with the iMT variant priced at Rs 19.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Exterior Highlights: Premium Look with Smart Additions
The Clavis HTX+ features Starmap LED DRLs, LED taillights, and triple ice-cube LED headlights that give it an edgy and futuristic profile. The SUV-like stance is accentuated by 17-inch alloys, faux skid plates, and one for each of the embedded radars for Level-2 ADAS. The 360-degree camera also gives better vision and safety.
The Cabin: Technology-rich and well laid out
In the cabin, the Clavis HTX+ features a dual-tone Beige and Navy theme with soft-touch materials on the dash and metallic highlights. A plethora of tech is crammed in there - dual 10.2-inch displays, ambient lighting, Bose premium sound system, ventilated front seats, and digital key.
There is plenty of practical use as well, including cooled cup holders for the front and second-row passengers, roof-mounted AC vents for second and third rows as well as USB ports in every row. The second-row slides and reclines, while the third-row not only provides reclining comfort but around 200L of boot space while in use.
Engine Options and Transmission
The HTX+ has two engine choices: the 1.5L Turbo Petrol engine (160 PS, 253 Nm) and a 1.5L Diesel engine (114 PS, 250 Nm). Transmission options include either a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT, which allow for various driving experiences.
At this price, with these features and looks, the Kia Carens Clavis HTX+ is primed to challenge and redefine the conventional thinking regarding MPV models.
