A Strong Hybrid Future
Recharging powerful hybrids is the new trend that is driving the success of Toyota, since they act as a compromise between the traditional ICE exhaust-only vehicles and the full electric cars. The need to manage fuel usage, as well as the emerging interest in conserving the environment, necessitated the use of hybrid vehicles by consumers who are increasingly less interested in range anxiety through fuel-efficient use.
More recently, urban Cruiser Hyryder and hybrid-based Innova HyCross models have been the focus of the Toyota strategy, and have especially boosted its volumes.
Conclusion
Although it witnessed negative growth on a MoM basis, the YoY and quarterly change is encouraging Toyota. As the brand in question keeps focusing on its investments in hybrid technology, customer-centered innovations, and a reliable SUV-MPV range, Toyota can remain on its current course in the changing Indian motor industry.
