As the first exporter of cars with a theme of “Made In India” globally, Hyundai designed a localized zone demonstrating the extensive utilization of parts from Indian manufacturers.
Hyundai displayed its high-tech products at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. Based on the theme “Mobility For All” the Hyundai Motor presented its vision and commitment to India at Pragati Maidan, Hall 6.
Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head, Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motors India appreciated the Initiative of Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2024 by commenting heartfelt congratulations to the Government of India and the Ministry of Commerce & Industries for envisioning this unique Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2024. In Addition to this, he also added that this vision enabled them to showcase their products & technologies to the audience.
Salient Features Showcased at Hyundai Motor India Pavilion
According to its commitment of Hyundai to enhancing localization, Hyundai Motors has achieved 100% localization in its key components such as tyres, panoramic sunroof, alloy wheels, ECM-based inside rearview monitors, higher grade AGM Technology batteries, and a wide range of other components.
To strengthen its commitment towards localization, a dedicated team of Hyundai Motors intensified its efforts, particularly for high-volume models, aligning with the government's “ Make in India” initiative. The zone not only highlights Hyundai’s advanced manufacturing facility in Sriperumbudur but also showcases the R&D facility in Hyderabad, the corporate office in Gurugram, and the recently acquired Maharashtra.

Commitment to India
Hyundai Motors has launched various initiatives to fulfill its Corporate Social responsibility, including Art For Hope, Telemedicine clinics, Sports Labs, Dhyan-Do, Drive For Progress, BeTheBetterGuy, and more, Focusing on community development, healthcare, education, vocational training, and promoting safe mobility practices. In 2023, Hyundai Motors signed an MOU with the government of Tamilnadu, committing Rs 20,000 crore over the next 10 years for capacity expansion, new products, establishing a battery pack assembly facility, and improving charging infrastructure. In 2024, a commitment was made to the Hydrogen Valley Innovation Hub in collaboration with IIT Madras.
