Bentley has revealed its most opulent creation yet with the Batur Black Rose, a specially commissioned version of the already exclusive Batur Grand Tourer that elevates luxury to unprecedented levels through its extensive use of genuine 18-karat rose gold.
The bespoke vehicle features a striking two-tone exterior with Black Rose metallic paint complemented by a gloss Beluga upper section encompassing the roof and pillars. While the color combination alone would make the car stand out, what truly sets this Batur apart is the extensive application of Satin Rose Gold accents throughout the exterior.
These golden touches adorn the hood, front grille, and air intakes while also appearing on the mirror caps and along the lower body. The window trim receives the same treatment, as do the massive 22-inch wheels. Behind these wheels sits a high-performance carbon ceramic braking system fitted with black calipers.
The rose gold theme reaches its pinnacle inside the cabin, where Bentley has incorporated an impressive 210 grams of hallmarked 18-karat rose gold components. Created using advanced additive manufacturing 3D printing techniques, these solid gold elements include the drive mode selector, organ vent stops, and steering wheel metalwork. Additional rose gold accents appear on various switchgear and trim pieces throughout the interior.
Bentley partnered with Cooksongold to ensure the precious metal was sustainably sourced from recycled jewelry. The automaker emphasizes that "All parts produced for the Batur are hallmarked in Birmingham's Jewelry Quarter as a sign of having solid material authenticity" – a testament to Bentley's commitment to both luxury and legitimacy.
The cabin's opulence extends beyond the gold elements, featuring sumptuous Beluga leather complemented by charcoal grey tweed fabric. The interior is further enhanced with Black Rose metallic veneers that echo the exterior paint, creating a cohesive design theme throughout the vehicle.
While Bentley hasn't disclosed specific performance figures for this particular model, the standard Batur is powered by their legendary twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine. This powerplant produces more than 730 horsepower (544 kW / 740 PS) and an impressive 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and an advanced all-wheel drive system.
As one of the final celebrations of Bentley's iconic W12 engine before its retirement, the Batur Black Rose represents not just the pinnacle of customization but also the culmination of an era for the British luxury manufacturer. The price remains undisclosed, but considering the limited production of the standard Batur and the addition of solid gold components, this one-off creation undoubtedly commands a significant premium over the already exclusive model upon which it's based.
