The new generation of the Verna sedan, which will compete with the Honda City, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia, will be introduced by Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) in the Indian market. The vehicle has undergone numerous tests and camouflage sightings. Last month, reservations for the new Verna became available online and at approved Hyundai shops for a deposit of Rs 25,000.
According to Hyundai, the new generation 2023 Verna, scheduled to be released in India, will be E20 compatible to meet the Stage 2 BS6 emission standards. Via teasers, the firm has already disclosed the improvements that would be made to the new vehicle.
The new 2023 Verna is expected to feature a completely new look based on official concept art and snoopy images. The car's body lines will look more athletic, and the ends will have integrated lighting. The new Verna will be compatible with current Hyundai vehicles.
With four variants (EX, S, SX, and SX(O)) and a choice of four powertrain options, including the 1.5 L GDi turbo petrol engine with 6MT or 7DCT, the 1.5 L MPi petrol engine, among others, the 2023 Verna will receive considerable changes to its feature list. The vehicle will also include ADAS technology and the largest 528-litre boot in its class. To compete with the updated Honda City in the Indian market, Hyundai is predicted to price the new Verna affordably, in the region of Rs 11 to 18 lakh.
