2026 Renault Triber Updated With Segment-First Automatic Climate Control and New Features Across Variants

Renault India has given its popular seven-seat MPV a meaningful mid-cycle update for 2026, introducing a host of comfort and convenience upgrades spread across the variant lineup. The changes range from a segment-first automatic climate control system on the top-end trim to more practical additions on the lower rungs, all while carrying modest but real price increases that buyers will need to factor in before heading to a showroom.

  • The 2026 Renault Triber receives new comfort and practicality features across all variants, with prices starting at Rs. 5.80 lakh, ex-showroom.

  • Variant-wise price hikes range from Rs. 4,575 to Rs. 9,150, ex-showroom, depending on the trim level.

What Has Changed and Why It Matters

Renault India has rolled out an updated version of the Triber MPV for 2026, focusing squarely on comfort and daily usability rather than a cosmetic overhaul. The headline addition is a segment-first automatic climate control system, reserved for buyers opting for the top-end Emotion trim. It is a feature that no rival in this space currently offers, which gives the Triber a genuine talking point in a market where MPV buyers are increasingly demanding more for their money.

Beyond the air conditioning upgrade, Renault has also introduced one-touch fold and tumble functionality for the second-row seats, making access to the third row far less of a workout.

The second-row seats can now be folded flat entirely, which pushes boot capacity up to a substantial 1,065 litres when the situation calls for maximum cargo room.

How the Updates Are Spread Across the Variant Range

The changes are not confined to just the flagship trim. The Evolution variant now benefits from steering-mounted audio and phone controls, a day-night adjustable inside rear-view mirror, and a rear room lamp, which meaningfully improves the ownership experience at a more accessible price point.

Moving up to the Techno trim, the additions are more extensive. Buyers get a driver seat armrest, driver seat height adjustment, rear defogger, electrically folding outside rear-view mirrors, two front tweeters, and a 12-volt charging socket for third-row passengers.

These are practical, everyday features that reflect a clear understanding of how Indian families actually use their cars.

Powertrain Stays the Same, Safety Remains Comprehensive

Renault has sensibly left the mechanicals untouched. The Triber continues to use a 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.

An AMT option is available exclusively on the top Emotion variant for those who prefer two-pedal driving in city traffic.

On the safety front, the package remains solid. All variants come with six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control as standard.

Updated Prices Across the Lineup

The new prices reflect hikes that vary across trims. The base Authentic petrol manual now starts at Rs. 5.80 lakh, ex-showroom, after a Rs. 4,575 increase. The Evolution manual sees a Rs. 6,405 hike, while the Techno manual goes up by Rs. 7,320.

The Emotion variants, both manual and AMT, have been revised upwards by Rs. 9,150, with the Emotion Manual Dual Tone seeing a slightly lower increase of Rs. 9,050. The range tops out at Rs. 8.48 lakh, ex-showroom, for the Emotion AMT.

For a seven-seater that now boasts a segment-exclusive feature and genuinely useful upgrades throughout the lineup, the 2026 Triber makes a stronger case for itself than it did before.
