After being sighted in overseas markets earlier, the next-generation Hyundai Venue was recently spied testing on Indian roads, which means this SUV is in its final development stages. It is expected to be launched in 2025 during the festive season, potentially in July or August, with several significant upgrades to the already popular compact SUV.
Bolder Styling, More Tech, a Touch of Premium
Codenamed QU2i, the 2025 Venue is more boxy now, with bolder character lines giving it a more robust SUV appearance. The major changes are to the front-end with reworked LED headlamps, a different grille pattern and sharper DRLs installed.
The significant change is the inclusion of a radar sensor, confirming that the SUV will include Level-2 ADAS, which is an upgrade over the camera-based Level-1 ADAS system on the current model.
Other spy shots show front parking sensors, dual-tone alloy wheels with DCT badging and rear disc brakes that were previously exclusive to the Venue N Line, indicating a strong focus on performance and safety.
The sides of the SUV have a lot chunkier cladding and dual-tone ORVMs (outside rear view mirrors) that complete the active-look exterior.
Cabin & Features to Match Premium Hyundai Models
Although the cabin is still camouflaged, it is expected that Hyundai will completely change the interior, including a new dashboard, ambient lighting, upgraded upholstery, and a new centre console.
As for the features, we could expect it to include ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof and larger infotainment and instrument cluster displays, basically lifted from the newer Hyundai models, like the Creta and Alcazar.
Safety Enhancements Without Changing Powertrains
Aside from updated visuals, the 2025 Venue will also offer a full ADAS suite with features like forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go.
Mechanically, the Venue will come with the same engines:
1.2L NA petrol (83 PS, 113.8 Nm)
1.0L turbo petrol (120 PS, 172 Nm)
1.5L diesel (116 PS, 250 Nm)
Transmission options will include the 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual and the 7-speed DCT.
Price & Competition
Although Hyundai has not shared pricing yet, the new Venue is likely to be priced at a small premium over the outgoing model, which starts from Rs 7.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be in competition with the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Skoda Kushaq on launch.
Stay tuned, Hyundai is about to officially unveil one of the most awaited compact SUVs.
