
Churah Regional Transport Office (RTO) operates under the Himachal Pradesh Transport Department and provides various vehicle and transport-related services. These include vehicle registration, RC renewal, driving licence services and vehicle ownership transfer. Currently, there are 73 RTOs in Churah and the vehicles are registered under the following RTO codes: HP01, HP04, HP05, HP06, HP09.
Churah RTO is responsible for various vehicle and transport related services, but some of the most important ones which individuals generally access are:
Vehicle registration: This is the widely known services provided by RTO. Every vehicle must be registered with the respective RTO. Vehicle registration, ownership transfer, changing address, issuing or renewing RC , etc, is also done by the RTO.
Driving licence related services: Driving Licence (DL) is a must-have document for a motorist to legally drive/ride a vehicle across the country. Right from conducting driving tests to issuing a DL, renewal, etc. RTO looks after all services.
Issuing and renewing permits: For commercial and transport vehicles, Churah RTO issues and renews permits.
For vehicle registration in Churah, gather all the required documents and visit the nearest RTO. Fill in the forms and submit them at the designated counter. Once all documents are verified and the registration is done, you can check vehicle owner details by number plate online.
You can check which Churah RTO your vehicle is registered under by entering your vehicle registration number on Park+. To check this, follow these steps:
Visit Park+ website.
Select ‘Vehicle Owner Details’ option.
Enter your vehicle number and click on ‘Check Details’.
Review the vehicle details including the RTO name.
The registration certificate should be renewed 60 days before its expiry. Carrying a valid Registration certificate is a necessity and not having it can lead to RTO challan in Churah. Thus, it is always advised to check the RC validity.
You can apply for RC renewal online through the Parivahan Sewa portal. Follow these steps to complete the process:
Visit Parivahan Sewa portal.
Click on ‘Other Services’ under the ‘Vehicle Related Services’.
Tap on ‘Renewal of Registration’ and select Himachal Pradesh.
Provide vehicle registration number and RTO.
Agree to ‘Terms and Conditions’ to proceed.
Fill out the forms and upload the documents.
Pay the applicable fee and submit the application.
Alternatively, for offline processing of RC renewal, visit the nearest Churah RTO along with all the required documents. Contact the authorised person, fill the required forms and provide a copy of the documents asked. Pay the applicable fees and submit the application. Once verified, the renewed RC will be delivered to your provided registered address.
