The 2026 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift has arrived at dealerships, with the base GX+ priced from Rs 21.15 lakh and the top ZX at Rs 26.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
The update brings a revised front end and a richer feature list, though the ladder-frame diesel and rear-wheel-drive setup remain entirely unchanged.
The Toyota Innova Crysta has long occupied a space of its own in the Indian car market. It is old-school in the best possible sense, a ladder-frame chassis, a diesel manual powertrain, and rear-wheel drive, qualities that are increasingly hard to find in an era of monocoque crossovers.
The recently launched MY26 facelift has begun arriving at dealerships, and units of both the base GX+ and the top-of-the-line ZX variant are now on the showroom floor for buyers to walk around and inspect up close.
The variant lineup runs from the fleet-focused GX at Rs 19.72 lakh, through the GX+ at Rs 21.15 lakh and the VX at Rs 24.93 lakh, up to the ZX's sole 7-seater trim at Rs 26.63 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
Base GX+ Gets the Full Facelift Treatment
Despite sitting at the entry point for private buyers, the GX+ does not miss out on any of the MY26 exterior updates. The revised grille comes with a silver surround, and the lower bumper picks up new highlights that the outgoing model did not offer.
The headlights remain fully reflector-based with a multi-barrel layout, though auto-folding ORVMs with LED turn indicators are standard even here. The 16-inch wheels carry over unchanged, and there are no fog lights at this trim level.
What You Get Inside the GX+ Cabin
Inside, the GX+ is practical rather than plush. Fabric seats, a manually height-adjustable driver's seat, and tilt-and-telescopic steering make up the ergonomic highlights.
A touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is present, as are roof-mounted rear AC vents, steering-mounted audio controls, a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, rear washer and wiper, and a dual-channel dashcam.
However, the rear defogger is absent. Airbag count at this price point stands at just three, which feels lean at Rs 21.15 lakh. New Grace Copper interior trim elements appear on the steering wheel and centre console, with fake wood used across the dashboard and door pads.
Top ZX Variant Steps Up the Comfort and Safety
The ZX is where the Innova Crysta offers a noticeably different experience. Airbags rise to seven, the headlights switch to a projector and reflector combination setup, and 17-inch alloy wheels replace the smaller 16-inch units.
Fog lights, a chrome grille surround, and extra chrome highlights give the front end a more premium feel.
ZX Interior Offers Considerably More Equipment
The cabin of the ZX is a meaningful step up from the GX+. Highlights include a powered driver's seat, leatherette upholstery, soft-touch surfaces, auto climate control, a rear climate zone with ambient lighting on the roof-mounted unit, a tray table and cup holders for second-row passengers, a manual boss mode function, TPMS, wireless charging, cruise control, a fancier instrument cluster with an MID, and all four auto up-and-down windows. Grace Copper trim appears more generously across the dashboard and door panels.
Crysta Stays True to Its Old-School Roots
The Innova Crysta remains something of a throwback in a market that has largely moved on to feature-packed, front-wheel-drive SUVs. Its appeal lies precisely in that restraint, the proven diesel manual powertrain, the rugged body-on-frame construction, and an established reputation for long-term reliability keep demand strong regardless of the competitive pressure around it. The MY26 facelift gives it just enough of a refresh to stay current without altering the formula that buyers have trusted for years.
