MINI Countryman C Launched in India at ₹47.50 Lakh: Locally Assembled SUV Gets Competitive Pricing

MINI India has launched the locally assembled Countryman C at ₹47.50 lakh (ex-showroom), making the premium SUV more accessible than before. Offered with a turbo-petrol engine, updated styling and a feature-rich cabin, the new Countryman C strengthens MINI's presence in the luxury compact SUV segment while benefiting from local assembly.

  • MINI has launched the locally assembled Countryman C in India at ₹47.50 lakh (ex-showroom), significantly reducing its entry price.

  • Produced at BMW Group’s Chennai facility, this front-wheel-drive petrol variant undercuts the fully imported JCW All4 by a staggering Rs 18.65 lakh.

MINI India has launched the locally assembled Countryman C at ₹47.50 lakh (ex-showroom), making the premium SUV significantly more accessible than before.

Manufactured at BMW Group's Chennai facility, the new variant strengthens MINI's presence in India's luxury compact SUV segment while benefiting from local assembly and competitive pricing.

This new variant marks a massive operational milestone as the first petrol-powered Countryman variant to be locally assembled via the completely knocked down (CKD) route in India.

MINI Countryman C Price in India

The locally assembled MINI Countryman C is priced at ₹47.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The move marks a substantial reduction compared to the fully imported version and helps the SUV compete more effectively in India's growing luxury compact SUV segment.

With local assembly, MINI aims to attract a wider audience seeking a premium European SUV that combines practicality, distinctive styling, and modern technology.

MINI Countryman C Engine and Performance

The MINI Countryman C is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 156 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds and achieve a top speed of 212 km/h.

The powertrain is designed to deliver a balance of everyday usability, refined performance, and fuel efficiency, making it suitable for both city commutes and long-distance highway journeys.

MINI Countryman C Exterior Design

The new MINI Countryman C adopts the brand's latest design language while retaining its iconic styling cues. The SUV features a bolder and more contemporary appearance, highlighted by redesigned LED headlights, an octagonal front grille and updated tail-light graphics. Its larger dimensions, flush-fitting door handles and enhanced road presence give it a more premium and modern character.

The SUV's larger dimensions not only improve its road presence but also contribute to increased cabin space and luggage capacity, making it more practical than its predecessor.

MINI Countryman C Interior and Features

Inside, the Countryman C receives a significantly modernised cabin centred around MINI's signature 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen. The system serves as both the infotainment display and the central control hub for various vehicle functions.

Key features include the following:

  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

  • Panoramic glass roof

  • Powered front seats with memory function

  • Dual-zone climate control

  • Connected car technology

  • Premium upholstery and interior finishes

  • Advanced driver assistance and safety systems

With local assembly helping lower prices, the MINI Countryman C offers a stronger value proposition than ever before. Its blend of premium features, distinctive styling, practical cabin space, and efficient turbo-petrol powertrain is expected to make it one of the most attractive options in India's luxury compact SUV segment.
