Citroen Shakes Up India’s Affordable EV Space With the All-New 2026 eC3X

Citroen has launched the 2026 eC3X in India, expanding its electric vehicle lineup with a new crossover-inspired offering. Based on the eC3 platform, the EV combines SUV-like styling, a spacious cabin, practical features, and an efficient electric powertrain. The eC3X aims to attract buyers seeking an affordable and distinctive electric vehicle in India's rapidly growing EV market.

  • The 2026 Citroen eC3X features a refreshed design, major safety updates and a massive 79 km increase in driving range.

  • Citroen introduces an innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, dropping the upfront purchase cost to just Rs 6.29 lakh.

Citroen India has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the launch of the new eC3X. Positioned as a crossover-coupe EV, the model combines the practicality of a compact SUV with the styling of a fastback, targeting buyers seeking a distinctive electric vehicle in the affordable segment.

The eC3X becomes another important addition to Citroen's India lineup as the brand looks to strengthen its presence in the country's rapidly growing EV market. Available in Live, Live O and Shine variants, the new electric crossover combines the practicality of a compact SUV with a distinctive fastback-inspired design.

Citroen eC3X battery, range and performance

The Citroen eC3X is powered by a 29.2 kWh battery pack paired with a front-mounted electric motor that produces 57 hp and 143 Nm of torque. The electric crossover offers a claimed driving range of up to 320 km on a single charge, making it well-suited for daily city commutes and occasional longer journeys.

The eC3X uses a front-wheel-drive layout and supports DC fast charging, allowing users to recharge the battery more conveniently during longer trips. The powertrain is designed to balance efficiency, practicality, and ease of use for everyday driving conditions.

Citroen eC3X Exterior and Interior Highlights

The eC3X adopts a distinctive crossover-coupe design that combines SUV-inspired styling with a fastback-like silhouette. Its sloping roofline, raised ground clearance, and rugged body cladding help differentiate it from traditional hatchbacks while giving it a more commanding road presence.

At the front, the eC3X features Citroen's signature styling elements, including LED daytime running lamps and a split headlamp setup. Stylish alloy wheels and a practical rear profile further enhance its appeal, offering a blend of modern design and everyday usability.

Inside, the eC3X offers a familiar yet practical cabin layout. Citroen has equipped the electric crossover with several convenience and connectivity features aimed at modern buyers.

Key features include:

  • 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system

  • Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

  • Digital instrument cluster

  • Automatic climate control

  • Connected car technology

  • Rear parking camera

  • Steering-mounted controls

With its crossover styling, practical cabin, and accessible pricing, the eC3X aims to attract buyers looking for an affordable electric vehicle that offers something different from traditional hatchbacks and SUVs.

The launch of the eC3X reflects Citroen's continued focus on expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in India. By combining distinctive styling, practical features and a competitive price point, the new electric crossover could help the brand strengthen its position in the country's evolving EV market. With increasing demand for affordable electric vehicles, the eC3X could help Citroen attract a wider audience while strengthening its position in India's competitive EV market.
