The significance of SUVs in the Indian market has increased in the Indian market, as their demand increases with each passing day. The growth can be ascribed to several factors, including changing customer preferences, enhancement in features, improved road infrastructure, spacious interiors, appealing looks, and much more.
Currently, SUV demand is high in the market; even if premium hatchbacks are still on the road in India, their sales are gradually decreasing. To increase the sale of sedans, car manufacturers are giving generation change to three leading sedans: Honda Amaze, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Dzire.
Upcoming New Sedans In India
New-Gen Hyundai Verna
The Hyundai Verna has been in the Indian automobile market for years, and now manufacturers are set to start the production of the new-gen Hyundai Verna (BN7i) in March 2023. The upcoming Verna has already been spied-tested on the roads on multiple occasions. According to the reports, the Verna mass production starts next month, and the market launch will soon happen in the second quarter of 2023. One major update is Verna will have a 1.5-L turbo petrol engine, producing 115 BHP, instead of the 1.0-L turbo motor, producing 120 BHP. Besides this, the Sedan will be wider and will also be equipped with Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS), a dual-screen setup, and wireless smartphone connectivity.
New-Gen Maruti Dzire
Maruti Suzuki Dzire is a compact sedan which will obtain a generation change in 2024. It will be equipped with a 1.2-L, 3-cylinder petrol engine benefited with Toyota’s strong hybrid technology. According to the resources, the Dzire is expected to deliver an ARAI-certified mileage of 35-40 kmpl. Its new motor will also have the new CAFE II standard. The major changes that are expected to be made are in the interior and exterior as well.
New-gen Honda Amaze
Honda Amaze is set to enter its new generation in 2024. The global-spec Accord and the new City could inspire some of the elements. Its interior will share similarities with the HR-V and Accord, which are sold globally. The 2024 Honda Amaze is expected to be equipped with a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, which will also support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It will be powered by the 1.2-L aspirated petrol engine making 90 BHP, producing 110 NM.
