The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Celerio comes with added safety but with an additional cost.

Celerio has been an integral part of Maruti Suzuki’s ecosystem and now Six airbags and three-point seatbelts for every passenger are standard on the 2025 Celerio. The price has increased from Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 32,500 as a result of the extra features.

Dual front airbags were the only standard equipment available for the Celerio hatchback. It is admirable that Maruti Suzuki decided to make side and curtain airbags standard on the Celerio.

It is anticipated that the automaker will soon upgrade additional reasonably priced hatchbacks like the Alto and S-Presso.

Safety Enhancements

The new 2025 Celerio gets a 6 airbag as a standard feature across all the variants, this enhancement aims to improve the passenger experience and safety. Also the Celerio now gets three-point seatbelts for all the passengers along with seatbelt reminders, reverse camera sensors, hill hold assist and ESP for better control in the slippery areas.

Hike in Prices

The base LXI variant comes at Rs. 5.64 Lakhs and there is an increase of 27,500 Rs from the previous price tag, whereas the top-spec ZXI AMT now costs Rs. 7.37 Lakhs which gets a hike of about 32,500 Rs. The ZXI AMT price remains unchanged.

Engine and Performance

The engine specifications remain the same with a 1.0 Litre 3 cylinder unit which gets petrol and CNG fuel options, the engine unit produces 66 bhp and 89 Nm of torque on petrol and comes with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox, Whereas the CNG model is capable of producing 56 bhp along with 82.1 Nm or torque. However, the CNG is offered only with a 5-speed manual gearbox option.

Features

The 2025 Celerio comes with a 7-inch Apple CarPlay and Android Auto touchscreen system which offers enhanced connectivity options. Additionally, the Celerio also enjoys features such as steering-mounted audio controls and a door request switch with a smart key and an engine push start-stop button with AGS technology.

Conclusion

Significant safety improvements are included in the 2025 Maruti Suzuki Celerio, such as three-point seatbelts for all passengers and six airbags, which improve overall protection. Although the cost of these upgrades can increase by up to ₹32,500, they increase driver confidence and passenger security. The fuel-efficient 1.0L engine that powers the Celerio has not been altered. It is a well-rounded hatchback in its class thanks to additional tech elements that increase convenience even more.
