Explains the features of the upcoming Nissan Gravite MPV and when it will be unveiled.
Discusses the engine, platform, design, and what to anticipate after the reveal.
Built on the same CMF-A/CMF-A+ chassis as the Renault Triber, the Nissan Gravite is a B-segment multipurpose car with unique Nissan design cues. The tiny MPV has a modern rear with noticeable Gravite badging and a dramatic front fascia with a large grille flanked by inverted L-shaped daytime running lights. Nissan's teasers point to a modern design that distinguishes it from its platform sibling.
The Gravite is anticipated to have a modular seven-seater layout with adaptable seating and effective use of space, emphasising family comfort and practicality, though complete interior specifics have not yet been made public.
High-end features like smart storage, smartphone connectivity, and a touchscreen infotainment system could make it more appealing.
Powertrain and Platform
The Gravite's engine will probably be a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces about 72 horsepower and 96 Nm of torque. It will be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Additionally, there is conjecture that a CNG option may be made available in the future to attract budget-conscious consumers.
The Gravite is projected to be priced between Rs 6 lakh and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom); exact numbers will be revealed at launch. Nissan is allowed to take advantage of tax incentives in the Indian market because it is shorter than four meters.
Unveiling and Upcoming Plans
Full price announcements and specifications are expected soon before the market launch and showroom deliveries scheduled for March 2026. Nissan's official reveal on January 21 will come before these developments. With further models planned for the upcoming years, this introduction is a part of Nissan India's larger revitalization strategy.
The launch of the Gravite is anticipated to boost interest in the small MPV market by providing a competitive option and demonstrating Nissan's dedication to the Indian market.
