The second gen Hyundai Venue is due to be launched later in 2026. Although several spyshots of the second generation sub compact SUV from the stable of Hyundai have appeared, recently a fresh spyshot of the SUV has popped up. It appears that the vehicle in the latest spyshot is the one that will become the base variant of the SUV.
New information gathered through spy shots
Although still completely camouflaged, the new spyshot shows that the base variant of the SUV will still receive steel wheels with wheel caps. Additionally, the headlights will be halogen instead of LED. Interestingly, in contrast to the present base model of the Venue, the future model's base model will have its turn indicators on the door mirror, not the fenders.
Basic Shape to remain Boxy
Besides this, the fundamental shape is still boxy. It will keep going with a split LED DRL and headlamp configuration, but with a much more squared-off look. It seems to borrow cues from the Hyundai Exter and Alcazar models; it is somehow more tough-looking, courtesy of that front grille.
Expected Features and Interior Upgrades
Although the cabin wasn't caught in the spy photos, the new Venue is poised to have considerable cabin upgrades. Among these may be a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera system, ventilated seats up front, and an expanded 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen display like newer Hyundai.
Other probable upgrades that may feature on the list are wireless smartphone charging, automatic climate control, and a Level 1 ADAS package, with features such as lane keep assist and forward collision warning. Features like rear parking sensors will still be standard fare.
Powertrain Features
The new Venue will continue with the existing powertrain options. These will be a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 114 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
Transmission options will most likely be a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, and a 7-speed DCT on certain models.
Conclusion
The upcoming next-generation Hyundai Venue promises to blend familiar reliability with thoughtful upgrades, particularly in terms of design, features, and comfort. While the base variant remains modest with steel wheels and halogen headlights, subtle enhancements like mirror-mounted indicators hint at Hyundai’s commitment to refinement across all trims. With the continuation of tested powertrain offerings and the potential for cutting-edge features such as ADAS and a larger infotainment screen in higher trims, the 2026 Venue is poised to build on its strengths in the hotly contested subcompact SUV market. As its debut approaches, Hyundai fans can look forward to a well-rounded improvement that remains faithful to the Venue's utilitarian yet fashion-conscious heritage.
