Renault Duster 7-Seater to be called with the name of Boreal

Renault is anticipated to bring the new-generation Duster SUV to the Indian market in mid-2026. This will be the return of the SUV in India, which was one of the most sought-after models of the brand in India. The seven-seater variant would follow the five-seater model. But don't count on it arriving in the Indian market ahead of 2027.

Renault Boreal is likely to break cover in the international market soon. The automobile maker is planning to launch it first in the Latin American market, which is a stronghold for Renault.

After a certain period, the automobile maker would introduce this to the Indian market. Renault has also announced that the Boreal will be at the forefront of the brand's International Game Plan 2027 and will showcase the OEM's new global ambition. Renault Boreal will be launched in Latin America and will gradually cover over 70 markets, it added.

Future Plans

Only a few days back, Renault India had announced that it would be introducing five new cars in the country over the next three years. To start with, there would be two next-generation cars, and then two new SUVs on a new platform.

Lastly, there would be a new electric car in the lineup too, which would be the entry of the car maker into the Indian electric passenger vehicle market. The first new car will be coming to the market in the next few months. Renault has also added that it plans to capture five per cent market share in the Indian passenger vehicle market with new models that fall in the A, B, C+ and C segments of SUVs.

Conclusion

The Renault Boreal is a major move for the brand's global strategy and its renewed dedication to the SUV segment. Although the seven-seater Duster version will initially be launched in Latin America, its eventual release in India indicates Renault's desire to reassert its foothold in one of the globe's most dynamic car markets. With a strong plan to introduce five new models, including next-generation vehicles, SUVs, and an EV, Renault is preparing for a big push in India. The Boreal, under the International Game Plan 2027, is set to be a key player in growing the automaker's global presence and reviving its presence in more than 70 markets.
