MG Motor India has revealed its retail sales figures for May 2023. With 5006 units sold.
The company achieved a sale of 4551 units for April 2023, which recorded a 126 per cent growth over the same month last year. MG Motor mentioned that the MG ZS EV had been a major factor in the growth of sales, and there is a positive sentiment in the market towards the recently launched MG Comet EV.
The Comet comes with a sticker price of Rs. 7.98 lakh for the base variant and stretches up to Rs 9.98 lakh for the top variant. The Comet claims a range of 230 km on a full charge, and the 17.3 kWh battery produces about 41 bhp of power. The MG Comet takes about seven hours for a full charge. The MG ZS EV starts at Rs. 23.38 lakh and goes all the way up to 27.40 lakh for the top model. The electric SUV claims a range of 461 km, and the 50.3 kWh battery produces about 174 bhp of power. It takes about nine hours for a full charge.
The company recently introduced the Blackstorm edition for its flagship SUV, the MG Gloster. The Blackstorm edition has been launched at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs. 40.29 lakh for the two-wheel drive (2WD) trim, going up to Rs. 43.07 lakh for the four-wheel drive (4WD) variant. The exteriors have been tweaked with a Metal Black paint job with red accents, this includes the bumper, ORVMs, fender, and alloy wheels, to name a few.
The MG Gloster Blackstorm edition gets Level 1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features like automatic parking assist, forward collision warning, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning, among others. It rivals the likes of the Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner, to name a few.
