Maruti Suzuki Jimny Launched At Rs. 12.74 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the much-awaited Jimny in India, with prices starting at Rs. 12.74 lakh. The compact and rugged SUV brings a blend of off-road prowess and urban practicality. With its distinctive design and capable performance, the Jimny aims to carve a niche in the market. Priced competitively, it's set to cater to the growing demand for compact SUVs, offering adventure enthusiasts an exciting and affordable option.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny

Maruti Suzuki Jimny has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 12.74 lakh for the base Zeta MT trim and goes all the way up to Rs. 15.05 lakh for the top Alpha AT dual-tone trim.

The Jimny is offered in six trims with both manual and automatic transmissions. The company opened bookings for the SUV since its debut at the Auto Expo in January and has clocked over 30,000 bookings. Deliveries of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny can be expected from July in a phased manner.

Under the hood is a 1.5-litre K-Series engine mated to a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic that produces 103 bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and 134.2 Nm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. The company claims a fuel efficiency of 16. 94 kmpl for the manual transmission and 16.39 kmpl for the automatic unit.

In terms of features, the Jimny comes with LED projector headlamps with washers, a 9-inch infotainment centre with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Arkamys sound system, among others. For safety, the SUV gets six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), a brake assist function, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), brake limited slip differential, hill hold Control, hill descent control, side-impact door beams, 3-point emergency locking retractor seatbelts, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, seatbelt pre-tensioner, and a rearview camera.

The Jimny has seven colour options, including five monotone shades and two dual-tone options. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny rivals the likes of the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha, to name a few.
