Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for its electric revolution with the launch of the e Vitara, the brand’s first all-electric vehicle in India. After making an impressive debut at the Auto Expo 2025, the electric SUV is already creating buzz, with unofficial bookings now open at select dealerships.

Now, fresh details about the variants, battery options, and features of the e Vitara have emerged.

Let’s take a closer look at what Maruti’s first EV offering brings to the table.

Three Variants with Two Battery Pack Options

It will be offered in three variants:

  • Delta (Base Variant)

  • Zeta (Mid-Spec Variant)

  • Alpha (Top Variant)

All three trims will come with two-wheel drive (2WD) as standard, and the SUV will be available with two battery pack options:

  • The Delta variant will be equipped with a 48.8kWh battery pack.

  • The Zeta and Alpha variants will feature a larger 61.1kWh battery pack for increased range and performance.

For charging, all variants will support 7kW AC charging and 70kW DC fast charging, ensuring convenient and quick power top-ups.

Modern Tech and Premium Features

The e Vitara is loaded with modern features, ensuring a high-tech and comfortable driving experience. Some key highlights include:

  • Dual digital displays (one for infotainment, another for the instrument cluster)

  • Panoramic glass roof for an airy cabin feel

  • Automatic climate control for personalized comfort

  • Wireless charging for convenience

  • Ambient lighting to enhance the cabin’s aesthetic

  • Auto-dimming IRVM for better night visibility

  • 360-degree camera for enhanced safety and parking assistance

  • Ventilated front seats for added comfort

  • Sliding and reclining second-row seats for better passenger flexibility

  • Seven airbags for maximum safety

  • Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) with features like lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and collision warning

Upon its launch, the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will face stiff competition in the growing Indian EV market. Key rivals include:

  • Tata Curvv EV

  • Hyundai Creta Electric

  • MG ZS EV

  • BYD Atto 3

  • Mahindra BE 6

  • Upcoming MG Windsor EV
