Our Park+ Highlight of the Day includes information on the newly launched BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro.
The M Sport Pro is a new variation of the 2 Series Gran Coupe, the entry-level sedan offered by BMW India. The M Sport Pro, which is priced at 45.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India), is available exclusively with a turbocharged petrol engine and sits between the 220i M Sport and 220d M Sport trims. The M Sport Pro costs about 2 lakh rupees more than the 220i M Sport but is equally expensive as the diesel model. In general, the new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro enhances the model's performance and styling options.
Engine
The dependable 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro has been tuned to deliver 189 horsepower and 280 Nm of maximum torque. Power from this engine is sent to the front wheels through a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch gearbox. The model also includes cutting-edge features that enhance its performance, like launch control and a shift-by-wire gear selector.
New Features/Upgrades
The model gains a number of new features with the launch. A head-up display, BMW gesture control, and a potent 250-watt 10-speaker audio system. Upgrades to the interior decor include a contrast-finish dashboard, an Anthracite roof lining made specifically for the M model, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with black stitching, paddle shifters, and illuminated Boston trim finishers. BMW claims that the diesel version of the 2 Series Gran Coupe returns 18.64 km/l, while the petrol variant achieves 14.82 km/l according to ARAI certification.
Standard Features Retained
A 10.25-inch digital console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW OS 7.0, 3D navigation, voice control, wireless charging, auto start/stop, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and more are additional standard features that the car has retained from previous editions.
Safety Features
Safety features include six airbags, three-point seatbelts for every passenger, ABS with CBC, DSC, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchor mounts, tyre pressure monitoring systems and more. Moreover, the car's 17-inch alloy wheels also contribute to its stylish and sporty appearance.
On the whole, these upgrades could make driving the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro more thrilling as well as engaging.
