Tata Motors, the leading car manufacturer, signed an MoU today with Uber to supply 25,000 Xpress-T electric Sedans in India for ride-hailing services.
The electric version o the Tigor Sesan will join Uber's services across multiple states, including Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Chennai. The deliveries will start in phase beginning from this month.
MD of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, Shailesh Chandra, Says, "In line with our commitment to grow sustainable mobility in the country, we are delighted to partner with Uber, India's leading ridesharing platform. Offering customers our environmentally friendly EV ride experiences via Uber's Premium Category service will accelerate the adoption of green and clean personal ride sharing."

Tata Motors has been achieving newer heights by revolutionising the Indian automobile market with its efforts and leading the e-mobility wave in India. The company has rolled out 50,000 Tata Evs till today in the personal and fleet segments.
Besides, Uber has also promised that its 100% of rides will be zero-emission by 2040, whether on public transport or with micro-mobility.
