Tata Motors has sent major price cuts across the ICE passenger car range in a move that is likely to bring joy to all car buyers. This has been adopted following the introduction of the reforms of GST 2.0, which reduced the taxation of passenger motor vehicles. The new prices have already been introduced in the authorised Tata dealerships within the country.
Model-Wise Price Cuts
The new pricing will encompass the complete models of the Tata hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs, with different amounts of cuts depending on the models and the variants. This is the difference in the major changes:
Tiago: up to Rs. 75,000
Tigor: up to Rs. 80,000
Altroz: up to Rs. 1.10 lakh
Punch: up to Rs. 85,000
Nexon: up to Rs. 1.55 lakh
Curvv: up to Rs. 65,000
Harrier: up to Rs. 1.40 lakh
Safari: up to Rs. 1.45 lakh
Of these, the Nexon, the main seller of the SUV of Tata, has been the most aggressively cut by more than 1.55 lakh as it is followed by the Harrier and Safari.
Tata Motors Statement
Off record, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. & Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., termed the step progressive and on time. He further mentioned that by giving its customers their full benefit of the GST, Tata is paving its way to making its entire range of products more reachable.
Why This Matters for Buyers
Featuring a range of prices between small hatchbacks, such as the Tiago, and full-size SUVs, such as the Safari, Tata adjusted its new pricing strategy to appeal not only to first-time buyers but also to families that decide to acquire larger vehicles. This relocation is also projected to provide Tata Motors a competitive boost in the festive season, in which car sales normally on a spurt.
