Škoda has unveiled its all-new Epiq electric SUV, a near-production concept that previews the brand's cheapest EV to date. The Epiq is due to be released globally in mid-2026 and is expected to be a combination of practical everyday functionality and the newest design philosophy at a relatively affordable price point. On launch, it will be join the Elroq and Enyaq, making its EV family complete.
Current Solid Design
The Epiq becomes the first Škoda product to use its Modern Solid system of design, which puts emphasis on minimalist style and clean design.
The small SUV (4.1 metres long) is adorable, both looking urban-friendly and tough with bold proportions and a decisive stance. The design features T-shaped LED DRLs, low-set headlamps, for example, a grey spoiler, and a bumper with a glossy black detail, which gives it a premium and practical nature.
Broad and Well-Planned Interior
Though the Epiq is small in size, space is maximised in its construction. The interior is basic, but practical, with wireless charging, more than one place to store items, and tangible buttons with haptic scroll wheels to make usage easy.
In keeping with the tradition of Škoda being practical, the Epiq also provides the 'Simply Clever' touches: bag hooks, hidden compartments, and fastening points. An additional 475-litre boot also improves its day-to-day functionality, and it is appealing to families.
Performance and Range
Škoda has already affirmed that the Epiq will provide up to 425km of WLTP-certified driving range, and is thus highly competitive in the low-cost EV market. Although eventual powertrain specifications are to be announced, it is very much concerned with finding the right balance between efficiency and city-driving capability.
Production Plans and Market Strategy
The Epiq will be manufactured by the VW Group in the Electric Urban Car Family Project in the Epiq by the Navarra plant located in Spain. The project will introduce four low-cost compact EVs under three brands to boost the adoption of electric mobility in Europe on a mass scale.
The Škoda Epiq can be one of the most significant additions to the European EV market once it comes to the market in 2026 because of its price-saving, practicality, and fashionable design.
