Tata Motors has launched the Altroz iCNG equipped with twin-cylinder CNG technology at an introductory price of Rs. 7.55 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The feature list includes a voice-assisted electric sunroof, wireless charger and air purifier.
The Altroz iCNG is offered in six variants, XE, XM+, XM+(S), XZ, XZ+(S)and XZ+O(S), and is available in four colour options, Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey and Avenue White. The company offers a warranty of three years / 100000 km as standard. The Tata Altroz is built on the ALFA (Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced) Architecture platform, claimed for safety having received the 5-Star Global NCAP for adult safety rating.
The company has placed 30-litre CNG cylinders in the boot freeing up decent space, it now offers 210 litres of bootspace which is 135 litres less than the ICE counterpart.
Other safety features include a micro-switch to keep the car switched off at the time of refuelling and thermal incident protection that cuts off CNG supply to the engine and releases gas into the atmosphere as a measure of safety. Other noteworthy mentions include projector headlamps, LED DRLs, R16 diamond cut alloy wheels, an eigh-speaker touchscreen infotainment system by Harman with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, leatherette seats, fully automatic climate control, rear AC vents, height adjustable driver seat and many more.
The Altroz iCNG is offered with a 1.2-litre Revotron engine that makes a good 73.5 bhp of power at 6000 rpm and torque of 103 Nm at 3500 rpm.
