The Range Rover Sport SV's pricing, India-specific features, and how it fits within the wider SV line-up.
The performance credentials of its 635hp twin-turbo V8 engine and the context of the India-UK FTA are driving this launch.
JLR India has launched the Range Rover Sport SV at Rs 2.05 crore (ex-showroom), positioning it as the most performance-focused version of the SUV and the entry point into the high-performance SV line-up. It slots in below the Sport SV Edition Two, which carries a premium of Rs 30 lakh.
For buyers seeking the full breadth of the SV range, three variants are now on offer: the Sport SV at Rs 2.05 crore, the Sport SV Black at Rs 2.20 crore, and the Sport SV Carbon at Rs 2.35 crore, all priced ex-showroom.
The launch does not happen in isolation. It follows JLR India's decision to revise prices on its top-end Range Rover SV variants ahead of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement's rollout. The FTA, signed in July 2025, allows CBU vehicles imported from the UK to attract significantly reduced import duties, down from 110 per cent to 30 per cent initially, with a further reduction to 10 per cent by the fifth year. This has made it possible for JLR to sharpen pricing on its UK-imported performance variants considerably.
Bold Exterior Styling Curated for the Indian Market
India-Exclusive Paint Options and Distinctive Design Details
Land Rover has given the 2026 Range Rover Sport SV a set of bespoke paint options developed specifically for India, available in Satin Green, Matte Orange, Gloss Blue, Matte Violet, and Gloss Teal, each paired with a contrasting black roof. The 22-inch forged alloy wheels are unique to the India-specification car.
The exterior carries prominent SV badging, quad exhaust outlets, and a sizeable rear spoiler. Blacked-out elements run throughout the design, covering the pillars, door mirror housings, Range Rover and Land Rover lettering, front splitter, grille, and air intakes. This model deliberately steps away from the Edition Two's more track-focused specification, which includes lightweight 23-inch carbon-fibre wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a forged carbon front splitter, and a carbon-fibre bonnet. The Sport SV reads instead as a broader, everyday luxury performance SUV.
An Interior Built Around Comfort and Craftsmanship
Step inside, and the Range Rover Sport SV makes a strong case for daily-use luxury. Perforated Windsor leather seats finished in a Light Cloud and Ebony theme set the tone, while a sliding panoramic sunroof adds an open, airy quality to the cabin. Land Rover says both features have been curated with the Indian buyer in mind.
The extended leather package wraps the interior in premium material, complemented by illuminated door sills carrying the SV moniker, and a Meridian signature sound system. It is a cabin that prioritises refinement over the track-spec approach of the Edition Two.
Performance That Leaves Little Room for Doubt
4.4-Litre Twin-Turbo V8 Mild-Hybrid: 635hp, 0-100kmph in 3.8 Seconds
Under the bonnet sits a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine with mild-hybrid assistance, producing 635hp and 750Nm of torque, channelled to all four wheels through an automatic gearbox. Range Rover claims a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. That places it firmly in supercar territory for a vehicle of this size.
Underpinning the drive is Land Rover's 6D Dynamics suspension, a hydraulically interlinked system the company says virtually eliminates pitch and roll, giving the Sport SV composed handling across varied road conditions well beyond its impressive straight-line pace.
Bookings Open, Deliveries from August 2026
Customer bookings are currently underway, with first deliveries scheduled to begin in August 2026. Alongside the Sport SV launch, JLR India has also revised prices of the standard Range Rover Sport HSE petrol and diesel variants, both of which have received a price increase of Rs 2.23 lakh. The price adjustments on the SV, however, apply exclusively to fully UK-imported CBU models.
