Nissan Magnite Visia Base Variant Explained In 7 Real Life Images

Nissan Magnite Visia Base Variant Explained In 7 Real-life Images

The Nissan Magnite has received a fresh look with its recent midlife update, showcasing subtle design changes and a more premium cabin feel. The new Magnite is offered in six broad variants: Visia, Visia Plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna, and Tekna Plus. In this article, we will delve into what the base-spec Visia variant of the facelifted Magnite offers, illustrated with seven real-life images.

Front

The front fascia of the base-spec Magnite Visia retains the broader grille design with chrome surrounds, similar to its higher-spec counterparts. However, being the entry-level variant, it lacks fog lights and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The headlight setup consists of halogen units, whereas higher-spec models are equipped with LED projector headlights. Notably, there is no silver skid plate on the bumper, adding to its simplistic yet functional design.

Side

On the side profile, the entry-level variant does not come with roof rails, which is common in higher trims. The outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) feature an all-black finish, while the door handles are adorned with chrome accents. The base Visia variant also includes side body cladding, enhancing its rugged appearance. Interestingly, the turn indicators are positioned on the front fenders instead of the ORVMs, and the ‘Magnite’ badge can be found on the fender, consistent with other variants.

The Magnite’s base-spec Visia variant is equipped with 16-inch steel wheels without covers, contributing to a more practical approach to its overall design.

Rear

At the rear, the base variant features halogen tail lights and an extended roof spoiler, providing a sporty touch. However, it lacks certain features like a rear defogger, a rear wiper and washer, and a silver skid plate on the bumper, which are typically found in higher trims.

Interior

Inside the cabin, the Visia variant boasts an all-black interior theme complemented by black fabric seat upholstery. Silver accents on the AC vents and steering wheel add a touch of elegance. For added convenience, the second-row seats include a center armrest with cup holders, making it practical for passengers.

In terms of features, the base-spec Magnite does not include a touchscreen infotainment system. However, it offers all four power windows, manual air conditioning, and a PM2.5 air filter for improved cabin air quality. Nissan has also equipped the 2024 Magnite with standard safety features, including six airbags, a hill start assist, a traction control system, and a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

Powertrain Details

The base-spec Magnite Visia is powered by a 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, with the following specifications:

  • Engine: 1-litre naturally aspirated petrol

  • Power: 72 PS

  • Torque: 96 Nm

  • Transmission Options: 5-speed manual transmission (MT) or 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT)

In contrast, higher-spec variants of the Magnite also offer a turbo-petrol engine option with:

  • Engine: 1-litre turbo-petrol

  • Power: 100 PS

  • Torque: 160 Nm (MT), 152 Nm (CVT)

  • Transmission Options: 5-speed MT or Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT)

Price Range & Rivals

The base-spec Visia variant of the Magnite is priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 6.49 lakh. The overall pricing for the 2024 Nissan Magnite ranges from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 11.50 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom Delhi). It competes with rivals such as the Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, and the Mahindra XUV 300.

With its updated design and practical features, the Nissan Magnite Visia serves as an appealing option for those seeking an entry-level compact SUV that balances affordability and functionality.
