The MG Majestor's India launch has been moved to April 27, 2026, with media drives already commenced ahead of its official price reveal.
Replacing the MG Gloster, the Majestor is the largest SUV in its segment and comes packed with premium features across three variants.
The MG Majestor was originally slated to go on sale on April 20, 2026, but MG Motor India pushed the date back by a week. The new confirmed launch date for the MG Majestor is April 27, 2026, with media drives having already commenced ahead of the official price announcement. It is a relatively minor delay in the grand scheme of things, but it has only added to the anticipation surrounding what promises to be one of the most talked-about SUV launches of the year.
The Biggest SUV in Its Class, By the Numbers
Size matters in this segment, and MG has made sure the Majestor does not shy away from the spotlight. It is the largest vehicle in the D SUV segment, measuring 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, 1,876 mm in height, and riding on a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Those are commanding dimensions that place it firmly above its rivals when it comes to sheer presence on the road.
In MG's portfolio, the Majestor replaces the Gloster SUV and will be sold through the brand's regular dealerships. It will be available in four colour options, Metal Black, Pearl White, Concrete Grey, and Metal Ash, and will offer both 6-seater and 7-seater configurations, giving buyers the choice between captain chairs or a bench seat in the second row.
Variants and Pre-Booking Benefits
The Majestor will be launched in two trim levels across three variants: Sharp 4X2, Savvy 4X2, and Savvy 4X4. Those who have already placed a booking are in for a generous package.
Pre-booked customers will receive a 5-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5-year roadside assistance, 5 labour-free services, and an ICICI Bank Emeralde credit card.
A Cabin Loaded with Technology and Comfort
Step inside and the Majestor makes its intentions very clear. The interior features a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, a 12-way powered driver's seat, ventilated and massaging front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a premium JBL audio system, triple-zone climate control, a 220V socket, 360-degree cameras, Level-2 ADAS, and an NFC-based digital key. It is the sort of list that would feel at home in a car costing considerably more.
The exterior carries a modern look with vertically arranged LED headlights, a prominent LED DRL signature, large 19-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lights, alongside a redesigned dashboard, centre console, and re-positioned gear selector.
Off-Road Capability Sitting at the Heart of the Majestor
Beneath the bonnet, the Majestor continues with a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, a transfer case, and three locking differentials. It also features a CCO crawl mode with up to 10 off-road modes, 3 driving modes, and 3 engine modes, making it a genuinely capable machine for those who venture beyond tarmac.
With its arrival, the MG Majestor looks well-positioned to take on the Toyota Fortuner and shake up a segment that has long been dominated by a handful of familiar names.
