Kia Syros MY26 Update Brings Lower Prices, New Trims and Refreshed Styling to India

Kia India has refreshed the Syros for the 2026 model year with a meaningful set of changes designed to widen its appeal in the sub-4-metre SUV segment. The update introduces four new trim levels, three new exterior colour options, a revised front and rear bumper design, new 17-inch alloy wheels, and neon brake callipers. The base price has been reduced to Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom), making the Syros a sharper proposition than before.

  • The 2026 Kia Syros receives four new trim levels and a revised variant lineup, with the base price dropping to Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Styling updates include a new front bumper with LED fog lights, neon brake callipers, and three new colour choices.

A Value-Driven Overhaul for the Sub-4-Metre Segment

Since its launch, the Kia Syros has held a firm reputation as the most premium and well-equipped sub-4-metre SUV available in India. Offered exclusively with turbocharged petrol engines at the outset, the Syros made its mark with features rarely seen at its price point.

Now, for the 2026 model year, Kia India has taken a multi-pronged approach to further strengthen the car's position in an increasingly competitive segment.

The headline change is the revised pricing structure. The 2026 Kia Syros now starts from Rs 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom), down from the previous base price of approximately Rs 8.7 lakh. This reduction has been made possible by the introduction of new, more accessible trim levels at the lower end of the range.

A Broader Variant Lineup With Four New Trims

The variant structure has been considerably reworked. Four new trims have been introduced, namely HTE, HTE (O), HTK+ (O) and HTX (O). The previous base trim, HTK, appears to have been discontinued, with the range now opening at the HTE level.

The updated lineup reads as follows in ascending order of specification: HTE, HTE (O), HTK (EX), HTK+, HTK+ (O), HTX and HTX (O). The HTX+ and HTX+ (O) trims that were part of the earlier range also appear to have been removed.

One particularly noteworthy addition is the availability of more accessible diesel automatic variants. Diesel automatic options now begin from Rs 12.73 lakh (ex-showroom) at the HTK+ trim, compared to the higher HTX+ entry point previously. The top-of-the-range variant, the HTX (O) Diesel 6AT, is priced at Rs 15.79 lakh (ex-showroom).

Despite the broader and more affordable lineup, Kia has retained all the flagship features that made the Syros stand out. The 30-inch Trinity display, panoramic sunroof, front and rear ventilated seats, rear sliding and reclining seats, and over 80 connected car features remain firmly on the table.

Revised Styling Gives the Syros a Sharper Look

On the outside, the 2026 Syros carries a noticeably refreshed appearance without straying too far from its original character. The front bumper has been redesigned and now incorporates LED fog lights alongside body-coloured aero inserts, giving the nose a cleaner and more purposeful look. At the rear, a new bumper and a revised high-mount stop light bring a fresh sense of completeness to the overall silhouette.

Gloss black treatment has been applied to the roof rails and door mirrors, while new 17-inch alloy wheels and neon brake callipers add a dash of visual drama. Three new colour options round off the exterior changes: Magma Red, Ivory Silver Matte and Ivory Silver Gloss.

What Kia India Has Said

Atul Sood, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, noted that the MY26 evolution of the Syros was shaped by customer insights, with the revised trim structure and feature lineup aimed at delivering greater value and broader choice. He added that the update reflects the brand's consumer-first approach, combining cabin space and comfort with city-friendly agility while making premium features more accessible.
