New Skoda Octavia RS Launch on 17 Oct, Bookings from 6 Oct

Skoda Auto India has officially confirmed the launch date for the much-anticipated Octavia RS. Limited to just 100 units, the sedan will be available in a single, fully loaded variant and can only be booked online. Pre-bookings open on 6 October, with deliveries scheduled to begin in November 2025.

The official launch of the new Octavia RS will be on 17 October by Skoda Auto India. Pre-bookings, ahead of this, shall be implemented on 6 October, via the official brand web.

The exclusivity of this launch is that there will be 100 units in India that will be introduced to the performance sedan. The individual units will be brought in as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), which is a luxury in the sed market of the country. It will debut on 6 November and begin deliveries only a little bit later.

A Power Sedan

In India, the Skoda will indicate the Octavia RS as having one fully loaded version. The car was initially launched at the Auto Expo 2025 and should reach the UK market in an identical design, but it will be manufactured in the Czech Republic.

The global version is fitted with the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC); this feature will, however, not be included in the India-spec version.

Performance and engine specifications

The main discovery of the 2025 Skoda Octavia is the turbo-petrol model with a 2.0-litre engine with a seven-speed DSG transmission box. This has created a stunning power of 261 bhp and 370 Nm of torque, whereby all the power goes to the front wheels only.

Such numbers guarantee that those who called the Octavia RS the driver-centric sedan will see it remain faithful to its promise of compromising usability with exciting performance.

Market Position, exclusivity

The case study of Skoda of only bringing 100 units of the Octavia RS shows how it is oriented towards selling a niche within India. The car is aimed at those who are interested in performance, low emissions, and European quality of assembly.

As the new Octavia RS will be rolled out shortly, a substantial buzz is bound to exist among the enthusiasts, taking into consideration the fact that the brand has quite a loyal following in India.
