New Color And New Milestone Added To Mahindra Xuv700

New Color and New Milestone added to Mahindra XUV700

In a sudden turn of events, Mahindra has broken all records by surpassing the 2 lakh units production mark in less than three years since the launch of its XUV700 model. Mahindra’s achievement has showcased its popularity among citizens especially that of XUV700. Mahindra could have celebrated this milestone by launching a limited edition but instead celebrated by introducing two new color options to the lineup.

New Colour Options

Mahindra has expanded the color palette for the XUV700, adding two new shades: Deep Forest green and Burnt Sienna brown. The Burnt Sienna is exclusive to the XUV700, offering a unique option for buyers looking for something distinct. The Deep Forest green is also available on other Mahindra models like the Thar, Scorpio N, and XUV300.

Here is the complete list of colors now available for the Mahindra XUV700:

  • Everest White

  • Midnight Black

  • Dazzling Silver

  • Red Rage

  • Electric Blue

  • Napoli Black

  • Blaze Red

  • Deep Forest (New)

  • Burnt Sienna (New)

Rich Features and Enhanced Safety

The Mahindra XUV700 is packed with features designed to enhance comfort, convenience, and safety. Key features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 12-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and built-in Alexa connectivity with advanced connected car technology.

On the safety front, the XUV700 comes equipped with up to seven airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), ISOFIX anchors for child seats, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a 360-degree camera. The top-end variant includes advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control, significantly enhancing overall safety and driver convenience.

Powertrain option

The Mahindra XUV700 offers two powerful engine options, catering to diverse performance preferences. Buyers can choose between a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which delivers 200 PS and 380 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission and front-wheel drive, and a 2.2-litre diesel engine available in two tunes: the lower variants produce 156 PS and 360 Nm of torque, while the higher variants offer 185 PS and 450 Nm of torque. The diesel engine also comes with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, with the higher variants providing the option for all-wheel drive (AWD). This range of engine choices and transmission options ensures flexibility and caters to different driving needs and preferences.

Pricing and Competition

The Mahindra XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with other mid-size SUVs like the Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari. In its 5-seater configuration, it also rivals the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, and Hyundai Creta.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, Mahindra plans to launch an all-electric version of the XUV700, potentially named the XUV e8, by the end of 2024. This move will further solidify Mahindra's position in the electric vehicle market and offer more choices to environmentally conscious consumers.

In Conclusion, The Mahindra XUV700 has quickly become a favorite in the mid-size SUV segment, achieving a remarkable production milestone in less than three years. With the introduction of new color options and a robust set of features, the XUV700 continues to appeal to a wide range of buyers. Its competitive pricing, powerful engine choices, and advanced safety features make it a strong contender in its class. As Mahindra looks to the future with plans for an electric variant, the XUV700’s success story seems poised to continue.
