Mercedes-Benz G 400d Launched: Prices Start At Rs. 2.55 Crore

Luxury SUV enthusiasts, rejoice! Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the much-anticipated G 400d with prices starting at Rs. 2.55 Crore. This formidable off-roader combines opulence with rugged capability, featuring a potent diesel engine and the iconic G-Class design. The G 400d promises an unparalleled driving experience, blending luxury and performance seamlessly. With a robust feature set and commanding road presence, it's set to redefine the standards of luxury SUVs in the Indian market.

The Mercedes-Benz G 400d has been launched at a price of Rs. 2.55 crore and interested customers can pre-book the SUV for a token amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh. We can expect the deliveries to commence in the festive season of 2023.

In terms of performance, the G 400d gets the most powerful engine in its lineup which is a 3.0-litre, in-line, six-cylinder diesel engine coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission belting out 285 bhp of power and 700 Nm of peak torque to all four wheels. The company claims a 0-100 kmph sprint in 6.4 seconds and has a ground clearance of 241 mm along with a water-wading depth of 700 mm The Mercedes-Benz G 400d sits below the AMG G 63 SUV.

The Mercedes-Benz G 400d continues to use the ladder frame architecture with G-Mode driving credentials. This mode enables the car to adjust the suspension, steering inputs, gearshifts and other parameters to deliver maximum off-road performance.

Noteworthy mentions in the Adventure Edition include a tailgate-mounted full-sized spare wheel a retractable ladder, 18-inch alloy wheels, leather interiors, and a roof rack among others. The AMG line of the G 400d gets 20-inch alloy wheels, a sliding sunroof, ambient lighting, Burmester surround sound system to name a few. The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is offered in 25 colour shades including four special paint schemes: Desert Sand non-metallic, Vintage blue non-metallic, Travertine beige metallic and South Seas blue metallic

The Merecedes-Benz G-Class locks horns with the likes of the Toyota Land Cruiser and Land Rover Defender to name a few. Existing Mercedes-Benz owners are given priority for bookings and purchase of the newly launched G 400d.
