Mahindra Be 05 Ev Spy Shots Surface

Mahindra BE.05 EV Spy Shots Surface

Spy shots of Mahindra's upcoming BE.05 electric vehicle have surfaced, creating buzz in the automotive world. The images reveal a sleek design and suggest that Mahindra is making significant strides in the electric vehicle segment. The BE.05 is expected to contribute to Mahindra's commitment to sustainable mobility. With the EV market gaining momentum, these spy shots hint at Mahindra's innovative approach to electric mobility, promising a compelling option for eco-conscious consumers. The BE.05 is set to make a mark in the evolving landscape of electric vehicles.

The Mahindra BE.05 EV has been spotted in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and this is the first time the EV has surfaced since its debut in August last year.

The BE.05 is a part of the BE(Born Electric) series, the company showcased five electric SUV designs last year and BE.05 was one of them. The company has planned an EV lineup under two names: BE and XUV.e, we can expect XUV.e guise in October 2024 and the BE.05 debut is scheduled for October 2025.

At the debut in August 2022, the company mentioned that the BE.05 will be about 4,300 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. It will come with level-2 ADAS and will be powered by the new INGLO platform.

The spy shot reveals an aggressive front section with a huge C-shaped LED DRL on both sides covering the headlamp housing. The bonnet also has been treated to give a sporty look and the profile shows a strong shoulder line along the width of the car with flared wheel arches. The roof seems to have a tapering design and we can expect the C-shaped treatment for the taillights as well.

The Mahindra BE.05 is likely to be powered by a battery of capacity ranging from 60-80 kWh capable of rapid charge feature as well. The company claims that a single charge will be able to give a WLTP range of 435-450 km and the fast charge feature will take 30 minutes for an 80 percent charge.

On the inside, it is likely to have two sizeable touchscreens taking centre stage on the dash, one infotainment unit(hopefully with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), and one instrument cluster. The layout may include rotary knobs for the air-con controls and soft-touch surfaces throughout the cabin.

Mahindra currently has the XUV 400 in its EV guise as its electric SUV, but we can expect new vehicles to join that fleet, and BE.05 could be one of them.
