Indian Car Market to heat up in April: 4 cars Ready to launch

We are just three months into 2024 and the Indian Automobile Industry is already gearing up its game. From several car offers, and discounts to car launches, 2024 is unstoppable. Since April will be the most important month following the next financial year is about to begin, All car manufacturers, including Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Skoda, are preparing to showcase an array of their hidden gems. From an attractive SUV with lots of features to a high-end sedan, there will be something for everyone. To explore more, read below to note down the upcoming cars and find the next perfect purchase for yourself.

Toyota Taisor

According to Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the Taisor will based on the Maruti Fronx which is ready to make a debut on April 3, 2024. After the Hycross-Invicto, Grand Vitara-Hyryder, and Baleno-Glanza pairs, the Taisor will be the fourth model under the Maruti-Toyota collaboration when it launches.

The Taisor will keep using the Maruti Fronx's powertrains. It is expected that it will be going to have two engines: a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol and a 1.2-liter NA petrol that will probably produce 99bhp/148Nm and 89bhp/113Nm, respectively. These motors can be ordered with an AMT gearbox, a six-speed torque converter, or a five-speed manual.

Tata Altroz Racer

About a year ago, Altroz made a debut at Auto Expo which is now expected to introduce the Altroz Racer in April. The Altroz Racer will compete against the Hyundai i20 N Line. A few aggressive outward elements are expected such as a dual-tone color scheme with racing stripes, an updated front grille, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Altroz Racer's interior may include a larger touchscreen infotainment system along with options including a sunroof, a head-up display, ventilated front seats, and a 360-degree camera.

It is expected to be powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine which also powers Nexon. It has 118 horsepower and 170 torque, and a 6-speed manual gearbox is probably going to be attached to it.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift

The XUV300 test vehicle has been visible for months, and now the debut is getting closer. The entirely redesigned exterior and interior of the SUV will have premium features. The outside will get upgrades to the integrated LED tail lamps, alloy wheels, bumpers, and headlamps. Speaking of insides, we've previously seen spy shots of the XUV300's cabin. Everything within will be brand-new, matching the exterior. This SUV and the more costly XUV700 have a similar design.

The 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol and 1.5-liter diesel engines may be the only options available from the Indian automaker's powertrain selection.

Skoda Superb

The Skoda Superb is another brand-new vehicle or a vehicle making a return. The launch date is set for April 3, 2024. The company wants to reintroduce the earlier Superb generation in India. Skoda intends to introduce 100 Superb models. ADAS features like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance will be included with this CBU device. A 360-degree camera with park assist and a new Columbus infotainment system are two further additions.

The car will be offered in three color options: Rosso Brunello, Water World Green, and Magic Black. The Superb is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine capable of producing 188bhp and 320Nm of peak torque. As the model will now be fully imported, expect the car to carry an ex-showroom price tag of approximately Rs 55 lakh.
