Mahindra never fails to excite its customers when it comes to SUVs. Not only is the excitement of SUVs consistent but also Mahindra lives up to it. It is a well-known fact that the 3-door Mahindra Thar continues to be popular in India, and there is a growing expectation for the 5-door model. It's important to note that the new model will be bigger than the existing one and have two extra doors, which will improve passenger comfort in the back seats significantly.
Details: Design, Launch, Price and Rival
The Thar 5-door which is yet to be launched will be more practical and family-friendly based on the 3-door model but will have two additional doors and a longer wheelbase. Spy photos of the future SUV have suggested some minor design changes, such as circular LED headlights and a redesigned grille, even though it would largely resemble the current Thar. A fixed metal top option is also expected, which is presently unavailable on the 3-door Thar.

The 5-door Thar will receive upgrades in the shape of larger screens (a touchscreen infotainment unit and instrument cluster) and a redesigned temperature control panel, according to spy images, even though the dashboard layout will otherwise remain the same as the 3-door Thar model. The only other significant interior change might be a new motif for the cabin.
The Mahindra Thar 5 Door may come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine or a 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine, in addition to choices for a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, the 5-door model may come in both 2WD and 4WD versions, giving buyers the option to choose the type that best meets their needs.
The Thar 5-door is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit and a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, dual-zone AC with rear vents, a sunroof, and a rear center armrest. In terms of safety tech, the elongated Thar is likely to get six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and a reversing camera with front parking sensors.
Those who are extremely excited about the Mahindra 5-door's arrival, it must note that the Launch date is just a few months away which is scheduled to launch in India on August 15.
